Quasar create cordova mobile app

Hello friends, today i am going to show you how to create a mobile app using quasar and cordova. So lets start

Basically, mobile apps are the trend these days. Especially with Quasar you can build mobile apps easily. Cause Quasar can convert project to multi-platform projects such as PWA, SPA, Android, IOS and desktop apps. if you want more details about Quasar you can read my previous article about Quasar framework.

First of all you have to create a quasar project first. Follow below steps to create a quasar project.

  1. Install Quasar cli
If you using Yarn
$ yarn global add @quasar/cli

If you using NPM
$ npm install -g @quasar/cli

2. Create your project

quasar create your project folder name

Now we have created a Quasar basic project. It will run on SPA mode in default if you run quasar dev in CMD inside your directory. So now its time to convert this project into Mobile App using cordova. So follow below steps

1.Install Cordova CLI (Open CMD and execute below code)

npm install -g cordova

2. Go to your created Quasar project directory and open with CMD and add cordova to your project by following code

quasar mode add cordova

3.Then it will create a folder inside your project called src-cordova. Go to that created src-cordova directory (cd src-cordova) and add the platform to your project.

  • If you need to build an android app type below code
cordova platform add android
  • If you need to build IOS app type below code
 cordova platform add ios

4.Thats it now you can run the app

  • If android
quasar dev -m cordova -T android
  • If IOS
quasar dev -m cordova -T ios

NOTE : – This tutorial will consider you have installed all dependencies required to run mobile app environment. If not please check my below article to configure those
